40 Days and Rainwater

It's been 40 days since I started taking Spring Valley Hair, Skin, and Nails Vitamins. I don't feel that the  vitamins did anything to clear my skin. My nails feel slightly stronger and I can see a difference in my length. I estimate that I grew close to 3/4 of an inch in 40 days.

Today was wash day and I washed with fresh, unfiltered rainwater. I COwashed with V05, detangled with a wide tooth comb, applied Shea Moisture Curl Milk, sealed my ends with Shea Moisture Mist mixed with castor oil, and I finished with Kinky Curly Curling Custard.

My hair looks amazing and I can't wait to continue using rainwater to wash with.

Check out my Photobucket for new pictures!

  1. Rainwater hmm seems like something to try. What advice do you have for someone trying to grow past collarbone length in the front and apl in the back I've been natural for four years!

  2. For me personally, less is more. I wash, style, and leave my hair alone. I wear lots of buns and I braid the length of my hair at night. Also, my routine is very simple. I don't try every new product that people rave about. I stick to what I know my hair likes. Good luck!

  3. Your hair is beautiful! When you say rain water, are you speaking of actual "rain water" like when water falls from the sky?? LOL!! Please forgive me for my ignorance but I must know bc if its benefiting your hair I would love to try it!

  4. @Shea - I'm with you, I'd love to try rain water but I'm not quite sure if it's actually something you buy or collected when it actually rains outside.

  5. I use fresh rain water that is collected during rainstorms.

  6. Hey! I'm 14 years old and I am currently transitioning. I am now 10 months post my last texturiser. I found you on BGLH and noticed how much your hair looked like mine when I was completely natural. Since then you have pretty much inspired me I looked at your transitioning blog, photobucket, and now this blog. So far transitioning has been great but the styling can get aggravating sometimes (plus I cant really stand keeping one style for a while- i kept my marley twists in for only a week ). What are your tips for transitioning styles and transitioning in general?
